Overall, we have experienced a low COVID-19 infection rate, however we do have COVID-19 cases in our Town. In all cases, the proper CDC procedures have been followed and guidance was provided from the Pender County Health Department.
Our state and county have seen higher percent positive rates over the past two weeks. This is not a time to relax in following CDC guidelines and our Governor’s Executive Orders. It has been shown that the lack of face coverings in enclosed areas increases the risk of COVID-19 transmission. We continue to stress the importance of wearing a face covering if you cannot maintain proper social distancing. Please remember the Governor’s Executive orders require masks for employees and individuals.
The Pender County Health Department will be offering the flu vaccinations at the Topsail Beach Town Hall on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 from 9 AM to 12 PM. You should discuss with your physician if you should receive the flu vaccine. Topsail Beach practices the three w’s (wear, wait, wash). Masks and social distancing will be enforced while you are in Town Hall.
Please call or email Town Hall if you need assistance as we continue to maintain a locked door policy during this pandemic to provide proper protection for Town employees and you. There is also the drop-off box for letters and other correspondence at Town Hall.
Please Stay Safe and remember the 3-W’s.
Regards, Steve Smith, Mayor
Town of Topsail Beach
